Four steps
Describe what you want
Say who will use it, what they fill in and what should be saved. “A menu for my café with prices” is enough to start.
Add the Moldura text
Paste the text below at the end of your request. It tells the AI how to save data in Moldura.
Save it as a .html file
Download the file the AI gives you, or copy the code. Moldura also accepts the code pasted directly.
Upload and share
Create a new app, choose private or public, and send the link or the QR code.
The text to add to your request
Without it, the app still opens in Moldura, but what people fill in is lost when they close it. With it, entries are saved and everyone with access sees the same data.
Personal things, like each person's preferences, can be kept separate for each user. If the app opens without a Moldura account, that personal data stays on the device each person uses.
Save all app data with window.moldura instead of localStorage.
It is async: await moldura.set(key, value) and await moldura.get(key, { fallback }).
Data is shared by everyone by default; use { scope: 'me' } for each user's own data, like preferences.
Data in scope 'me' may stay on that device only, so the app must work when it is empty.
Values must be JSON. Use moldura.update(key, fn) when several people can edit the same key.
Do not call external APIs or load scripts from the internet.
Deliver everything in a single .html file.Tips for a better result
- Ask for it to work well on a phone. Most people will open the link there.
- Give real examples: your dishes, your categories, your steps. The AI copies the style.
- Say what everyone shares and what is personal, like “each person keeps their own score”.
- Changing something later? Ask the AI and upload the new file as a new version. The data stays.
Good to know
- Everything goes in a single .html file. The maximum size depends on your plan.
- Apps can't call external services or load scripts from the internet.
- Updates made by other people can take a few seconds to appear.
- Moldura never asks for your password inside an app.
Questions
Do I need to know how to code?
No. You describe what you want in plain words, the AI writes the page and you upload the file it gives you.
Which AI should I use?
Any AI that writes web pages works: ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and others. Ask for a single HTML file.
Is it free?
Yes, the Free plan lets you create apps at no cost. Pro adds more apps, storage and audience stats.
Can I upload a page I already have?
Yes. Any single-file HTML page opens in Moldura. Add the Moldura text only if you want it to save data.
